Calculus I - 2014 Fall

Objective

The goal of this course is to learn methods of differential and integral calculation, and more important to understand the basic mathematical concepts. For example intermediate value theorem, mean theorem, extreme value theorem, etc. These theorems have  not only values of basic application but also meanings and ideas in mathmatics. Understanding these ideas, one can promote these theorems, on the other hand, when we are faced with more complex problems, a preliminary probe can solve the problem with these basic mathematical ideas as a basis or  analogy. This is the thinking of mathematics as a scientific value.
